AGV LONGWAY II Flip Up helmet comes with external sun visor that can be installed over the clear face shield. You can install the external dark sun shade easily by turning the plastic “T” screw visor rotating mechanism that can be removed with a coin. The face shield rotates through four positions and possesses good optical qualities with no obvious distortions.
The dark sun visor can be rotated independently from the clear face shield. The AGV LONGWAY II external sun visor is easy to use and you can flip it out of the way quickly when not in use.
Visor Rotation Mechanism
You can flip-up the chin bar by depressing a centrally located red button hidden underneath the back of the chin bar. The face shield on the AGV LONGWAY II is very similar to the face shield used on the original AGV LONGWAY. The AGV LONGWAY II flip up helmet rotating flip-up visor mechanism feels more solid than other brands of flip-up helmets. It has only one detent to hold it up in the raised position.
AGV LONGWAY II visor chin bar cannot be locked. When you pull down the chin bar, you can hear the solid snap sound which gives you a sense of security that the chin bar is fully shut.

The top air ventilation intake is a huge slider vent however there is no direct air vent passage through the EPS shell and the rider’s head. AGV LONGWAY II flip up helmet air ventilation is average designed for aesthetics purposes except for the chin bar air intakes. The fact that you can flip up the chin bar to enjoy the maximum air flow to your face.
When the chin air intake lever is in the center position, it opens a slider along the top of the chin bar and you can feel the air flowing up onto the inner side of face shield. There are no direct air vents through the chin bar due to the flip-up helmet locking mechanism. There are two small rear exhaust vents on the lower side of the flip up helmet.
The AGV LONGWAY II flip up helmet shell is a polycarbonate shell construction and it seems to have about average resistance to flex when the rotating visor is in the locked position. AGV LONGWAY II flip up helmet cheek pads and inner lining is removable and washable. The dry comfort micro fleece inner liner material is very comfortable and has thicker softer padding and ear space have enough spacing on the sides to make this helmet fit across a wide range of head shapes.
The chin strap uses the simple yet effective double D-ring closure system. As you can see from picture, the neck opening has additional plumb cushion material around the neck roll area so that you can feel comfortable and reduce rider fatigue.
